Welcome Remarks
On Demand Healthcare, The Virtual Revolution
Groceries, taxis and other goods and services are just a click away from showing up at our doorstep, shall we add healthcare to that list?! Let’s discuss this and how this plays out given that America’s on-demand economy is booming, and health care services are becoming a major part of this growth. This is particularly true during times of global or local pandemic or emergent situations as we all have seen over these past months. We all know there is an ever-widening array of providing on-demand health services such as telehealth, home health monitoring and intervention, virtual ICU patient management, virtual hospitals, etc. This rapidly growing market niche is part of a larger national trend for on-demand services, an economy worth over $75 billion! But is it a trend or is it here to stay?
Speaker: Suleima Salgado, MBA, Director of Telehealth, Telemedicine, and Rural Health Initiatives ECHO Project Manager, Georgia Department of Public Health
